‘Having one of my short plays (Prisoners’ Dilemma) performed at the Melbourne Art Centre was one of the highlights of my life. I was a screenwriting student, and had made a lot of noise about my ultimate aim being a Hollywood movie, and there was some concern from the head of school that I might not be able to handle the almost inevitable disappointment. But I’d resolved to have some smaller wins along the way, and to celebrate them. Big thanks to Short and Sweet, Defector Theatre, and everyone who contributed to staging that play and Hot Water.’
